Widely regarded as the best-moderated piracy forum, requiring sign-up but offering active support for cracking issues that other sites simply can't provide.
SteamRIP
A pre-installed game host with both download and torrent options, popular for how little setup its releases require.
GOG Games
Mirrors every DRM-free GOG release with SHA-256 checksums matching the originals, making it one of the safer bets on this list.
On general trackers like 1337x, safety depends entirely on who uploaded the file, not the site itself. Only download from names the community has vetted; everything else is a coin flip on malware.
1337x
The most-used general torrent index for games, but only safe when filtered to known-trusted uploaders such as FitGirl, DODI, KaOsKrew, and johncena141.
FitGirl, DODI, KaOsKrew, johncena141 (Linux), Masquerade, r2tor, and Empress are the community-recognized safe names. Anything from CS.RIN.RU-linked accounts is also considered safe. Avoid unfamiliar uploaders entirely, especially ones with few or no prior releases.
Never torrent without a reputable paid VPN, and never use a free or "cracked" VPN — those are effectively guaranteed malware. Tor is explicitly not a substitute for a VPN and will not protect you while torrenting.
Direct downloads run through a normal browser connection to a server, no torrent client and no VPN required. You may occasionally need a DNS change for blocked filehosts, but otherwise this is the lowest-risk acquisition method on this page.
FitGirl Repacks
The most recognized name in game repacking, offering both DDL mirrors and torrents with an active Discord for install support.
DODI Repacks
A close second to FitGirl in reputation, typically faster to install with slightly larger file sizes.
Managing dozens of mirror links gets tedious fast — these tools help.
Games no longer sold or supported by their original publishers. This is generally the lowest-risk category on this page since most publishers have no active interest in enforcing takedowns, though sourcing quality still varies.
My Abandonware
The most comprehensive and consistently reliable abandonware library, covering DOS, Windows, and early consoles with playable browser previews.
Most content on Archive.org, OldGamesDownload, and MyAbandonware is safe, but sourcing can occasionally blur into unofficial modifications. Scan anything you download and treat unfamiliar file types with suspicion, especially executables disguised as data files.
For curated retro PC collections with context and screenshots rather than bare download links, check Magipack or Collection Chamber — both are more editorial in style and good for discovery browsing.
Legally distinct engine recreations and open-source ports of classic games. Zero piracy risk here — these are original code reimplementations, often requiring you to supply your own legally-owned game assets.
OpenMW
A from-scratch open-source engine for Morrowind with modern rendering, requiring only the original game's data files.
OpenRCT2
A widely praised open-source recreation of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 with new features layered on top of the original gameplay.

VR piracy runs through its own dedicated ecosystem, mostly centered on Oculus Quest sideloading rather than the DDL/torrent sites used elsewhere on this page.
VRPirates
The central hub for VR piracy, maintaining its own wiki with an active Telegram and Discord for support and new releases.
Removes the Oculus/Meta account requirement and telemetry from Quest headsets — commonly paired with sideloaded content to avoid tying pirated apps to a real account.
DLC unlockers (Koalageddon, SmokeAPI, CreamInstaller) only work on games you already legitimately own — they unlock paid DLC you haven't purchased separately, nothing more. Steam emulators (Goldberg, SSE, ALI213) bypass DRM entirely and are what actually lets pirated copies run. Most tools here require sign-up on CS.RIN.RU, and DLC unlocker tools additionally require the actual DLC files, usually linked in the game's CS.RIN.RU thread.
Koalageddon
Unlocks pirated DLC on legitimately owned Steam games, considered one of the most reliable tools in this category.
CreamInstaller
Automatically detects every installed Steam, Ubisoft, and Epic game on your system and configures the correct unlocker for each with a single GUI.
Goldberg Steam Emu
An easy-to-use, actively maintained Steam DRM bypass with Linux support and LAN multiplayer capability.
SmartSteamEmu (SSE)
A feature-richer alternative to Goldberg with a packaged launcher and plugin support, though less actively maintained.
DepotDownloader is a CLI tool for pulling individual DLC or older Depot versions you own, while Steam Achievement Manager (SAM) lets you manage achievements manually — both are used heavily alongside the emulators above but come with their own account-risk caveats.
Trainers and cheat tables are built for offline, single-player use. Using them in any online or multiplayer context risks an anti-cheat ban, and on games with server-side validation they simply won't work at all.
FLiNG Trainer
The most consistently updated trainer site, usually first to support new releases with clean, ad-light downloads.
These sites track nothing you can download directly — they only tell you whether a game has already been cracked, and by whom. Check here before assuming a game isn't crackable.
CrackWatch
The most widely used release tracker, showing crack status, DRM type, and community-reported working status for recent games.
A reminder from the community itself: a game missing from every release index isn't proof it hasn't been cracked. Check CS.RIN.RU directly for anything obscure before giving up.
